New SAT Practice Tests
With a year of digital testing under its belt, The College Board recently announced a series of SAT updates. The most notable:
Beginning February 3, 2025, Practice Tests #1, #2, and #3 have been removed from Bluebook and replaced by one totally new test, #7, and three additional tests (#8, #9, and #10) that will combine new and previous questions.
Stay tuned for our deep-dive review of the new tests.
New Desmos Calculator Functionality on Bluebook
The Desmos calculator on Bluebook now includes a powerful new feature: Autoregression. By entering Cartesian points into a table (type “table” to start), students will be able to generate regression models to solve linear, quadratic, and exponential equations.
APs Go Digital in Spring 2025
Starting Spring, 2025, most AP exams will shift to digital formats on Bluebook, though some will remain in hybrid or traditional test booklet formats:
- Fully Online AP Exams: History, English, Government, Psychology, Human Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science, AfAm Studies, and Latin.
- Hybrid Digital APs: Science, Math, and Economics will combine MCQs on Bluebook with FRQs on paper.
- Test Booklet APs: Spanish, French, Chinese, and a few others will stay paper-based..
